Every morning While i’m making lunches and the kids are having breakfast we talk about many different topics….. I find that morning’s seem to be more calm and everyone is more attentive.
So I find that is the best time to get my points across and to teach my children about goals and values ………
My daughter is an all star cheerleader and our gym’s motto is
Character, Commitment, and Attitude!!!
So this morning my daughter ask me what character meant….
I gave her my best description and then ended with the qoute below.. That we are putting on her Dream board!!!!
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
I took a little time off from blogging. To be quite honest…. I was full of ANGER!!!! I needed to take some time to get my emoitons under control and take care of my Family. Most people that know me know that I am straight forward and don’t beat around the bush. I say it like I see it… and call it like it is…
After pouring my heart out to my Father-in-law and taking his wise words to heart I decided that I have no place in my heart for all the anger I was feeling and it was litterally making me sick .My father-in-law is the most Christian person I know, he has never led me astray.
I told him that I wanted revenge for my family and I felt betrayed and hurt. He reminded me of the story of King David…..(acutually there’s several King David stories which I will ellaborate on in later post). After reading it myself I decided to take the high road and send best wishes to those that have said harmful and untrue things.
Am I hurt? Yes!!! Do I feel betrayed? Yes!!! Do I want to tell People the TRUTH? Am I finding out who my REAL FRIENDS are? YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!
I chose faith. I followed my father in laws advice and left the vengance part up to God. He said “You can’t fight Evil with Evil because if you do…. Who will God bless. ” I have an inner peace and once I let it go amazing doors , new friendships and wonderful opportunities began to open.
I have begun a new chapter with great Hope and positive expectations. I have started writing my new book which Billy and the editor won’t let me tell the title because they think someone might steal it (LOL).
I have faith in my God and my family. If beileve that everything happenes for a greater purpuse. The Bible says, “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpuse under the Heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
When life knocks you down … don’t spend to much time looking back. Remember that God has great plans and “Maybe Gods rainy days are there to make you STRONGER.”
Last year I did a topic of the week for my family as breakfast and dinner discussion’s. I also posted here with very positive feedback. We discussed such things such as God, TeamWork, Leadership,Family Issues, Values, Charachter etc. Because of this I found myself researching the subject in the internet sand reading on these certain topics so I would have something new to bring to the table.
Long stroy short… “Life got a little crazy and I stopped doing it.” After not doing it for a while I realized that having these discussions was a good thing for my family and positive therapy for me. We all learned from each other as a family. I also learned by POSTING THEM ON MY BLOG that it helped many people. And, your feedback also helped me and many others.
So, the bottom line is…Whether you like it or not (lol) I”M BACK! I’ll be posting regular topics of the week and other daily discussions. Thanks for being patient and it’s great to be back!
